Youth Sports in The City of Atlanta

The capital city of Atlanta is famous for its many professional and varsity sporting groups. For those folks living in the city who don't have the athleticism or time to pursue certain sports in a full time capacity, there are lots of greenhorn sports in Atlanta that give you an opportunity to get fitter, stronger and faster all while making new pals and blowing off some steam. From Atlanta youth baseball to semi pro soccer groups in Atlanta, there is really something for everyone.

MJCCA

The Marcus JCC Atlanta organisation is a premier Atlanta youth baseball league. From T-ball to baseball, it offers kids a safe and genial environment to increase their physical fitness, learn discipline and naturally have a good time. Controlled by a one-time aid coast at UGA, you can be assured that each player is getting individualized and significant help from dedicated and experienced coaches. Children as young as 3 all of the way up to 6th grade can join in the fun, with practices and games frequently during the week and weekends.

GO Kickball

While kickball might bring to mind childhood gymnasium classes, this adult league reminds player how much fun this sport can truly be. Groups are arranged by ability level and power. Some groups just want to get out there and have fun, while others are dedicated and fit people who truly want to win. Either way, it is a fun experience that occurs on weeknights, with special contests on weekends. After the game, join your colleagues and any other interested takers for discounted pizzas and drinks at some of the nearby corporations.

Atlanta Chiefs

Thanks to the a new semi pro football league in the Southern States, there are several new groups turning up. The Atlanta Chiefs are just one of these new semi pro football teams in Atlanta, and are creating more interest in the city. Unlike pro teams, many players hold down jobs or are in class, all while committing to the team. The season runs across the summer, with practices starting in the spring. The fall is an off season for the team.

Team in Training

Not everyone feels that they have the coordination or dexterity to perform well in team sports. For those people, joining Team in Training might be a perfect way to keep in shape and pull in money for charity. The Atlanta branch of Team in Training helps train newbies to run a half marathon or a marathon. In exchange for frequent group runs, a coaching schedule and experienced coaches, you pull in cash for cancer awareness. There's a great social facet to the group too , with several runs ending in coffees or drinks while you debate the following step of your coaching.
